GATESHEAD REALAC ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS.

Gateshead ADHD Support are proud to announce that we have donated an achievement award for Gateshead's REALAC Team. (Raising Educational Achievement for Looked after Children). This is a shield which is awarded for the most improved attendance. We are also proud to announce that our friend Fintan O'Regan has agreed to let us name the shield in his name. Fintan is well known and well respected in the ADHD arena and started his career in the North East so we feel this is a very good person to name the award after.

The awards are on Wed 17th October and the first recipient (which I cannot name for legal reasons) is a young man whose attendance at school has improved immensely since going into care. Well done, we are very very proud of you.

The recipient does not have to be diagnosed with ADHD or anything else but must be a child in the 'looked after' system and who has made great strides to attend school. The recipient each year will have his name added onto the shield and be given a cheque for £30... Well worth the effort.
